This week in GTA Online (August 27 to September 2, 2026): The rankings move for the first time in four weeks. Auto Shop Robbery Contracts pay 2X GTA$ all week, which lifts them from about GTA$350,000 per hour to about GTA$700,000 per hour and pushes them past the Diamond Casino Heist into third place, behind only the weekly Kortz Center run and Cayo Perico. Everything else Rockstar boosted is racing: 6X GTA$ and RP on select Drift and Transform Races from August 28 to 30, 3X on the new Random Transform Races all week, and 2X on Drift Races. Races are fun and they are not a wage, so the honest plan this week is to run Auto Shop contracts for the money and race for the rest.

6X GTA$ and RP on select Drift and Transform Races, August 28 to 30 only

The largest multiplier of the week and a weekend-only window. It covers a selected set of Drift and Transform Races rather than every race in the mode. Races are not ranked here as income methods because a race pays a fixed placement reward over a fixed few minutes rather than a defensible net GTA$ per hour, so the rankings do not move on this. Six times a small number is still a small number next to a robbery contract, but it is the best three days of the year so far to be racing

3X GTA$ and RP on Random Transform Races, all week

This is the bonus Rockstar led with. It covers the Known Unknowns and Unknown Unknowns playlists, and five new Random Transform Races were added this week, three Known Unknowns and two Unknown Unknowns. It runs the full week rather than the weekend

2X GTA$ and RP on Drift Races, all week

Runs alongside the weekend 6X on the selected races, and also pays double LS Car Meet Rep, which is what unlocks Car Meet vehicles and the Prize Ride

Weekly Challenge: complete three Drift Races for GTA$100,000

The best money per minute on the racing side of this week by a wide margin, because it is a flat GTA$100,000 for three races rather than a multiplier on a small placement payout. Do this one even if you never race

Glitch Camo drift livery for the Ubermacht Cypher

Complete a single Drift Race in the Ubermacht Cypher and the livery is delivered within 72 hours. Cosmetic, no money attached, and it stacks with the GTA$100,000 challenge above since that race counts toward both

Drift Tuning added to three more vehicles

Annis Elegy Retro, Invetero Coquette and Vapid Dominator GTT can now take Drift Tuning upgrades at the LS Car Meet. Relevant only if you are chasing the Drift Race bonuses above

GTA+ members: Gallivanter Warden free, plus 2X on The FIB Files

The GTA+ cycle running to September 9 hands members the new Gallivanter Warden SUV a week before public release, 2X rewards on The FIB Files, 60% off the Garment Factory and triple Drift Race rewards. The FIB Files is not one of the ranked income methods here, so this does not move the calculator. GTA+ costs real money, so treat it as a subscription question and not a money method

Weekly completion bonuses reset

The first-completion bonuses across a range of heists and missions reset on the Thursday cycle, so the bigger initial paydays are available again. That is what keeps the Kortz Center Heist at the top of the rankings, since its premium payout exists once per weekly reset. No extra multiplier is attached to it
